Does EnergyAustralia use renewable energy?

EnergyAustralia’s PurePower, accredited by GreenPower, gives you the option to add an equal amount of renewable energy to your usage to the electricity grid. You can choose to make 10%, 20% or 100% of your energy PurePower.

The power added to the grid from PurePower is from government-accredited renewable sources, such as solar, wind and biomass. Only generators that produce a net environmental benefit are accredited to participate in the program, which means no large-scale hydro or native forest biomass-generated electricity is included.

You can choose to opt into EnergyAustralia’s Go Neutral product for no extra cost to make your energy plan carbon-neutral.

When you add Go Neutral to your electricity and gas plan, the total emissions associated with your household or business’s energy usage will be cancelled out through the corresponding amount of carbon offsets.
